What is UPSC?
India's central recruiting agency
The Union Public Service Commission was established on 1 October 1926 and functions independently under Articles 315 to 323 of the Constitution of India, ensuring fair, transparent and merit-based recruitment.
The Civil Services Examination recruits officers into the All India Services and Central Civil Services — including the IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS.
Who can aspire?
The examination is open to graduates from all academic backgrounds — engineering, medicine, law, commerce, humanities, agriculture and many more.
More important than your stream are curiosity, discipline, integrity, perseverance, analytical thinking and a genuine commitment to public service.
